Synopsis
Two young lovers travel by stagecoach and, suddenly, a mysterious stranger joins the travelers. The vehicle stops at an inn, and the stranger disappears with the young man. The girl desperately searches for her boyfriend and, when she discovers that it is Death who has taken him, she implores him to return him to her. Death shows him three candles (lives) about to go out and explains that he can only recover it if he manages to save any of them.
